I've been showing property and new home communities in Lakewood Ranch quite regularly during the pandemic. I recently passed the site of the new Manatee County Library, and thought it would be worthwhile to photograph the location and gather information for it here for my blog.

The project is located behind Premier Sports campus, south of Rangeland Parkway. For $19.6 million, a library, aquatics center, 250 parking spaces, an IT hub building, and racquet center (aka, pickleball and tennis) will be built. The facility will have it's own energy generation plant.
The Herald Tribune article didn't have any photos, just a rendering, which doesn't really show the site's location within Lakewood Ranch. So, I photographed the site with my drone, and highlighted the new communities surrounding it.
