Star Farms, the highly anticipated resort/ranch upscale lifestyle community in northeast Lakewood Ranch, is opening for sales. DR Horton has been building model homes here at a furious pace since Christmas 2021.
A waiting list is forming NOW. Homes will be sold on a first come, first served basis.
There is no money involved when getting on the waiting list. When the builder calls you, as the home site for the floor plan you are interested in becomes available, you'll be asked if you would like to proceed with your purchase. A $10,000 deposit will be due at that point.
Once you pick architectural elements of your home, the remaining deposit (combined with your initial deposit) equalling 20% of your purhase price, will be due. There is no escalation clause: if your home's price exceeds the contracted purchase price, no additional money will be charged to you.
There is also no design center consultation or selections to be made. Colors and finishes will be sold in "packages" which cannot be changed.
This applies to DR Horton homes. AR Rutenberg luxury homes have a different purchase process and deposit schedule.
There will be a good selection of "quick move in" homes. Many of them will be ready in late summer 2022.
