One Thing You Will Never Hear | Lakewood Ranch Real Estate | David Barr Realtor

Don't sell your current home to move to Florida....

....that is, until you have a contract on a home here, first.

If you haven't heard, we have a severe shortage of new construction, quick move in homes. The builders are releasing home sites in very small numbers each month, due to historic demand and a shortage of building supplies like drywall, lumber, and windows.

On top of that, many new home communies have a waiting list for home sites. Some communities are first come, first served. Others are accepting multiple offers on home sites.

To make things even more nerve wracking, we have low inventory of rental property.

This means you could be homeless if you sell your home before moving to Florida.

If your local real estate market is red-hot like I'm hearing, my suggestion is to work with me to get a property here under contract, then put your current home on the market to coincide with the closing of your Florida home. Your local Realtor should be able to help you with the timing of selling your current home.
