Manatee County is exploring ways to fund more regular maintenance and clean up of ditches and canals.
From what I have read, these proposed new fees would average about $200 per year per household, and may be charged as an ad-valorem on property taxes.
If you live in a Lakewood Ranch neighborhood with CDD fees, these fees would be over and above what you are paying for stormwater in your overall CDD bill.
