Yesterday I attended a seminar about what's happening in Lakewood Ranch in the near future.
Two new communities (aka "villages") were announced: Windward, which is in Sarasota County just south of Waterside, and Lorraine Lakes, which will be across from Cresswind on Uiehlein Road.

Infrastructure improvements was a major topic of interest in the seminar. The Rangeland Parkway extension to Uihlein Road is under construction, which will run west to east, connecting Harmony, Esplanade LWR, Bridgewater, Lorraine Lakes and Cresswind.
Another major road, Bourneside Road, will connect University Parkway at The Isles, with SR 64 to the north, bordering the eastern side of Lakewood National, Solera, and Cresswind. This road will represent the far east boundary of the Lakewood Ranch Development District.
Lorraine Lakes will have a planned 1500 homes, and Windward will have 780 new homes. Lorraine Lakes has announced pricing from the low $200's to the $500's, with floor plans 1400-3900 square feet.
